Our next THRC meeting will be on January 20th at 7pm Indiana time. Same from the Climbing Case has been gracious enough to let us use his conference room for our meetings.
He has a very nice eatery there as well and I am posting the menu for your convenience. If you would like you can call ahead of time and order your food so that it is ready for you when you arrive. The number there is 812-244-1776 This will take a little pressure off the folks at the counter and also make it convenient for you!

Here’s a project I’ve been working on for portable operations. This setup is completely untethered from the internet or mains power. I’m using a raspberry Pi 4 setup headless and to act as it’s own hotspot. From there I can remote into the Pi from my cell phone, tablet, ect to control the Pi and operate using several digital modes. Currently I am using a 4.5 Ah Bioenno battery to power the radio and a 20mAh battery to provide power for the Pi. I’m using a GPS to provide an accurate time clock which is crucial for these time sensitive digital modes. If anyone is interested in this setup or how I did it please message me and I can provide the details and more information! -73 N9WQP ...
